Summer Romance: Off the Shoulder

Summer Romance: Off the Shoulder

Hey ITC Readers!

Today officially kicks off the Style Collective Summer Style Challenge! I am so excited to showcase summer looks this week on my blog and on my Instagram! Join us this week with daily style prompts and a chance to win prizes!!

Today’s theme is off-the-shoulder. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve seen a ton of off-the-shoulder dresses and tops this summer. I love this trend because it allows you to showcase a delicate part of your body-the collarbone and shoulders. I chose to pair my H&M top with my favorite white jeans for a great summer night-time look.

I love a classic color combo of black and white with a bold pop of pink. I used the pink in my bag, then added a tassel bracelet and a berry colored lip.

My tip for white denim: size up or go with the bigger size if you’re between sizes. What looks sexy in dark denim may not show as well in a sheerer white pant. I love this skinny Tommy Hilfiger pair I’ve been wearing all summer!

With this off-the-shoulder look, stay away from heavy necklaces. You don’t really need one, but if you opt to wear one go for something delicate like this tiny initial I chose.

One last tip-try to avoid tan lines-obviously I failed at this one!

I adore the pop of pink and I LOVE your tip with the OTS tops, stick with dainty hardware. I agree that the attention should be on your décolletage…it’s such a gorgeous part of the body that doesn’t get the appropriate amount of attention 🙂
