Cold Weather Looks: Ballet-Inspired Style

Cold Weather Looks: Ballet-Inspired Style

Hey ITC Readers!

I can’t wait to share today’s look with you! When I was younger one of my absolute favorite movies was Center Stage, which was about ballet dancers for the American Ballet Academy (I totally had it on VHS!). I have always been drawn to ballet-inspired pieces like ballet flats and soft baby pinks. I also love the casual style ballerinas have when dressing over their leotards and tights-the cozy layers of sweaters and leg warmers.

To me, this knot-front sweater from online retailed Romwe is the epitome of a ballerina off duty. I decided to go for it with this look, and pair it with all black (including my all-time favorite high-waisted skinnies) and pastel accents. How gorgeous are these blush pointy-toed stilettos? They may not be ballet slippers but the color is spot on.

This sweater is soft and stretchy, and super comfortable! I love it as a casual piece and the shade of grey is just stunning. I had a great experience with Romwe-my order shipped and arrived quickly with no problem. I will say, be very careful with sizing with this brand. This sweater is “one size” but really fits more like a small. Make sure you order up a size if in doubt and pay attention to comments/reviews on a product for tips on sizing.

I have never seen that movie 🙁 BUT your sweater—adorable! I love how you tied that pattern/design to your purse and with a nude pump–just perfection! So cute!
