Hey ITC Readers!
Part of growing up and into adulthood is letting your style evolve with you. As I’ve hit my mid-twenties, I have been willing to take my personal style in a more sophisticated direction than I was willing to do during my college days.
When I saw this Faux Leather pencil skirt in a gorgeous hunter green, I was immediately drawn to it. But – blame my modest roots – I thought it came off too sexy! I eventually decided that I could pull it off if styled the right way, and I think it reflects a sort of sophisticated and covered up sexiness that comes from a woman being confident in who she is and wearing what she likes.
I paired this skirt with a classic white button up and one of my favorite pairs of pumps (that I snagged for $10 from thredUp!). When wearing a statement piece, its best to go classic with the other details. And I totally have a thing for pairing white with dark green-it’s one of the most striking combinations!
P.S. You’ve probably heard of the difference between dressing for men and dressing for women. Based on my husband’s reaction to this look, it probably falls under the “dressing for women” category.
