Hey ITC Readers!
Mostly, my blog focuses on fashion and doesn’t do too much with beauty trends. My reasoning for this is that there are so many amazing hair and make up tutorials out there from ladies who are AMAZING at those things, that my limited skills in that arena wouldn’t contribute much. However, from time to time I get introduced to a new beauty product that I can’t help but share with you!
For those of you who don’t know me personally, you wouldn’t know that I’ve had long hair for most of my life, and that right before I started my blogging journey I chopped 13 inches off my hair! Learning to style a short bob and then my growing shoulder length cut has been a learning curve for sure. While my long hair pretty much dries straight and requires little to no effort, short hair is HARD! I’ve been struggling to work with it on days that I don’t feel like doing a full wash and blow out.
Enter the Irresistible Me Jade Hair Straightening Brush. I have been looking for a new straightening product and wasn’t sure where to start when Irresistible Me reached out. I have loved using this hair straightening brush in my routine on days that I go to sleep on wet hair, then want to get out the door quickly the next morning. The brush features ceramic-tourmaline plate behind the bristles to heat your hair while you brush it out and style it.
The brush also heats up to its max temperature of 450 degrees rather quickly-I love this because it can definitely be annoying to wait for your straightener or curling iron to heat up!
I’m including some pictures of a before and after one morning when I used the brush after sleeping on wet hair-cringe at the before!!
Much improved, don’t you think?
And now a couple disclaimers. First, I have pretty straight hair to begin with, so ladies with very very curly hair I can’t speak to how well this would work for you. Second, I did try to use this after having my hair up in a ponytail all day and I had a tough time getting the crease from where my ponytail was entirely out. This may be best used for touching up in a hurry instead of need for a heavy duty straightener.
What do you guys think? Would you be willing to try the straightening brush?
