As summer is drawing to an end, I’m getting the most wear out of my shorts and dresses before packing them away for the winter!
I love J.Crew’s shorts because the 5″ inseam is a little longer for those of us with long legs (things get short on me fast-I’ve made many a dress into a shirt!). I loved this adorable print they had this summer so I snagged these shorts early this summer and they were my go-to for casual day looks. It’s getting cooler now, so I paired them with this navy and white striped 3/4 sleeve tee from Target ($3 on clearance, yes I’m going to brag about that). I love the silhouette of long sleeves and shorts, so if you’ve never tried you need to give it a chance!
This was one of my first forays into patterns mixing, but one thing I’ve learned is that stripes and florals together is ALWAYS a yes-as long as you keep the color scheme constant!
Both my shirt and shorts are sold out, so I won’t include links to them, but this is such an easy look to recreate on your own! You probably already have stripes and florals in your closet-put them together and give it a try!
P.S. Photos were taken in downtown Northport, AL – don’t we have the cutest little downtown area by the Kentuck Art Center? We love this giant pointing dog statue because our dogs are Pointers! Northport definitely isn’t our forever home, but we love taking advantage of the cutest little downtown while we’re here!
