Saturday’s are for Brunch

Saturday’s are for Brunch

Hi everyone!

I hope you had a fun and restful Memorial Day Weekend, but that you also respected and remembered what this day is about: honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. It’s okay to barbecue, hang out, and have fun, but to do it all with an air of respect for those who make these kinds of days possible for us! To any of my readers out there with family members who have sacrificed in the military-thank you for the sacrifices YOU make as well.

I spent Saturday at brunch with some friends from my department at school. I think truly the only way to get through graduate school is day drinking on the weekend every once in a while! Haha but we sipped mimosas, ate delicious food made from Pinterest recipes, and took the time relax and hang out. It was great!

The party happened at an apartment clubhouse that has a pool, but I wore this white crocheted dress because I ALWAYS get cold in air conditioned buildings in the summer! Anyone else spend all summer toting a cardigan around for when you go inside? That’s me. It was the perfect choice and I love this look.

I have seriously worn this tassel necklace from Francesca’s with everything since I bought it! Best $10 I’ve spent in a while (I got them on sale). I like that it is all gold so it goes with everything.

I brought my favorite Vera Bradley beach bag along for swimming, and of course my monogrammed towel! Gotta have it lol. My best friend’s mom made me these embroidered towels for a wedding shower-how talented is she?

I’ve seen so many adorable pom-pom and tasseled beach bag this year, but I use mine so rarely that I can’t really justify buying a new one. Instead, I linked some here for you to peruse-shop vicariously for me!

I have to say, my favorite this about this dress is the pom-pom hem!

Great outfit! I also carry around a cardigan everywhere I go…as much as I love air conditioning, it can make you freeze!!! Glad you are giving yourself some much needed down time, it’s important to do in order to keep sane in Grad school!
