Hey ITC Readers!
The other day I was shopping with some friends, and I picked a couple of adorable bralettes. They mentioned that they don’t buy bralettes because they don’t feel like they know how to style them, and I think that’s a common complaint. So, today I thought I’d share 3 different ways I like to wear a bralette to add a layer of interest to my outfits.
Peeking Through a Shirt with Openings in the Back
I love a good keyhole, backless shirt, or interesting cut-out. But, that often means you have to wear a backless bra-which is great for a special occasion but not so nice for a casual look. This is a great opportunity to wear a bralette-they provide support but are meant to be seen, so they can peek out!
I love the delicate lace on this baby pink bralette. It really picks up the pink in this floral tunic! My exact bralette is from TJ Maxx and I can’t find it online, but I linked a very similar one below!
Underneath Lace Details
Again, here’s a situation where wearing a normal bra might show through the top. Be intentional about what is being shown-I added a navy bralette under this adorable embroidery top so that you can see it through the back. I also love the way you can see some of the lace details in the front as well.
Unfortunately this pretty top is sold out, but other items are linked below!
Layered Under Your Favorite Loungewear
There is nothing better to lounge in than your coziest layers. Putting a lacy bralette under your favorite wide neck lounge shirt is a great way to look cute while staying comfy (with no underwire, can I get an amen?).
I’m wearing my favorite solid black Lularoe leggings (if you don’t know a consultant, find one!!). This is the best look for lounging around the house!
I hope you can draw some inspiration from these outfit ideas using pieces you already have in your closet! As a smaller chested woman, I don’t have to worry much about the support a bralette gives me. But, if you’re larger chested or just like a little more support, look for a bralette that will cover over your everyday bra, so that you can wear it underneath.
